Proposed new Hazardous Waste Regulations

In 2005 the proposed new Hazardous Waste Regulations, which will replace the Special Waste Regulations 1996, will apply controls on movements of hazardous waste to the revised Hazardous Waste List.
The regulations will introduce modified and more streamlined monitoring procedures and are likely to propose that printers will have to register with the Environment Agency and be given a registration code that will have to be given to the waste carrier.
J&G will be contacting all its customers in the New Year to update them on the proposed directive from the Environment Agency.
