 J&G named Environmental Non-Print Supplier of the Year at QIP Awards 2008

Waste disposal company J&G is the winner of the Environmental Non-Print Supplier of the Year award at the Quality In Print Media Awards 2008 due to its dedication to improving waste management within the print industry.
The aim of J&G is to persuade the printing industry that waste is not just a nuisance to be discarded at will, but a source of valuable reusable raw materials.
For this, J&G operates a waste management service, offering collection, treatment, disposal and recycling services to over 2,000 accounts, including many leading UK print companies, who between them produce around 150 different waste streams.
J&G has invested heavily in many areas of its waste management supply chain, including in-plant, infrastructure, transport fleet and staff training.
The service J&G provides to handle this has become a key part of its clients' supply chain, using J&G's expertise to ensure they comply with legislation, as well as general waste management advice.
J&G also practices what it preaches, with its own environmental management system and ISO 14001 certification, and by ensuring that its business practices link into sustainable development.
Judges' Comments:
This company has done so much to improve the standards of waste management in the print industry, and its own internal perfomance is great as well.
