Tuesday 1st June 2004
Print industry waste management specialists J&G Environmental are celebrating their second award success in a year.
The environmentally-friendly Blandford-based company have just achieved the Investors in People national quality standard. Last year the company scooped a Queen's Award for Sustainability which recognised its contribution to environmental management.
J&G, who collect, treat and recycle waste from over 2000 UK printing companies, has provided the industry with waste management services for over 25 years.
The company employs 43 people, mostly at its Dorset headquarters.
Said joint managing director Julie Armstrong: "We believe we have one of the best-trained workforces in the waste management industry. The modern industrial waste process is a complex and changing operation, and we ensure that our staff's training and professional development is kept up to date at all times.
"Winning Investors in People recognition confirms the importance we place on developing our employees' skills and we're delighted to have achieved the standard."
